Triffid_Hunter: ok cool, is better that way RifRaf: gday, ill be on your back in a few days re triplestruder stuff I3noob- there will be a configuration.h file in the sketch Triffid_Hunter: will find the 8mm versions if you need, just realised that I3noob-: So you can get the newest copy of Marlin from RifRaf: 2 days 4 hours ago tell rifraf a way to get ramps to run more motors now on Triffid_Hunter: hi, the Y ends you printed in red, might be for M10 rods, that ok? Triffid_Hunter: not to mention my hotend actually keeps up with my dual fans with ease now im surprised i even put this thing together There's a few options, most kits ship "Marlin" I3noob- there's another program running on your printer's electronics.Ĭhasecaleb: yeah, P=V²/R, just an extra volt or two makes a huge difference due to the squared term just clueless because thats the only thing i have New question: how the hell do i tune jerk? i've never seen any useful info about that online.Ĭhasecaleb: thats a good little tweak for improving heatbeds I3noob-: repetier host is not running your printer Mutley: not sure but repetier host itself has its own commands besides the ardruino ide and repetier, i havnt installed anything I3noob: im talking about the firmware installed on your arduino, how did you flash your arduino?
#CB RADIO BOX GECKOTECH CODE#
Mutley: i ran the m code you gave me in reptier. I guess it must do, just curious as to identify what firmware i3noobdoes have loaded You saved my printer from being murdered. Mutley: night man, thanks for all the help today.īut one question to throw out there, does reptier firmware run with the same m codes? I3noob: ill leave you in the capable hands of quillford and Triffid_Hunter and others, im heading to bed Triffid_Hunter: it's amazing how quickly my bed heats up after we talked about turning the psu voltage up last night. yes I am an irc scirptbot and my factoids are availible again at Kthx is a bot used for remembering factoids for the lazy, and also passes a turing test a little too often. There's an overview (with simple configuration instructions) at and downloadable at There's also the IRC channel #marlin-firmware and is also dev version Marlin is firmware with acceleration and lookahead to avoid accelerating up and down for evey vertex. Oh is it configuration.h now? my version is config.hĪha ok i know nothing about reptier firmware Tamarin: have rack and pinion, will travel? :P
#CB RADIO BOX GECKOTECH SOFTWARE#
I3noob: you have the arduino software for flashing the arduino under your ramps? I3noob: ok go into your config.h file and look for section called endstops M107 is Fan Off, see "fan" for more information.Īnyone tried rack and pinion lately? I tried to use it on an i2 a long time ago and I think the table tried to walk away. Mutley Triffid_Hunter: ah, that makes a lot of sense accel, jerk, max velocity, steps, etcĬhasecaleb: yeah, but not from a bare configĬhasecaleb: i see all those settings too. Quillford: i can control just about everything with my lcd and marlin. I3noob-: there isn't much that can be done through the lcd by defaultĬhasecaleb: so even with the idler that tight, I can easily spin the gears by hand (when the motor is disabled) and there's very little resistance until the filament bottoms out in the hotendĪnd this promotes chances of skipped steps, hence why looking to make sure things like hot end and hob are nicely lined up I3noob-: all marlin config is done through the configuration.hĬhasecaleb: the thing with ball bearings is that the whole idea is to break the pressure/load relationship that bushings haveĬhasecaleb: or you increase the force on a point where filament or bearings are binding due to tightness Measuring in netfabb seems to work i guess LoH: can i just do that through the lcd console or do i have to get the arduino software suite or something Triffid_Hunter: too much pressure -> too much loadĬhasecaleb: only reason it would skip when tight is if your bearings are utter rubbish Vendeta_: worked well enough but wouldn't recommend it over a 608zz

Triffid_Hunter: how the hell does it not skip like that? Quillford, oh that worked well? i found ones that actually split open with printed bearings in them With help from all the good fellows and ladettes in hereĬhasecaleb: yep it is, I physically cannot move my idler by hand, I've tried and I got blood blisters in my fingers without it moving at all

I3noob-: important is steps/mm, max feed rate for Z, and homing feedrate I3noob: its easy to setup and configure yourself, but it is generally the way to configure it yourself for your machine
